The Constitutional Council

History

In any modern international institution, a legal committee is indispensable. The Constitutional Council is a recent creation and reflects the desire to preserve the Order’s legal integrity in tandem with its harmonisation on a global scale.

Role

The Constitutional Council is responsible for the interpretation of the Constitutional Charter, regulations and ordinances of the Order. It oversees elections, adjudicates disputes and devises or verifies legislative texts in conformity with the Order's traditions and character.
